VAHPERD continues to provide staff development opportunities to improve your K-12 health and physical education programs. The Outstanding Health and Physical Education Programs (OHPEP) committee offers workshops promoting the following principles:

• all students active
• teacher interaction
• continuous assessment and
• lifetime health and wellness

Staff development presentations have been given in 46 school divisions for over 1200 teachers. Workshop topics include, but are not limited to:

We hope that you will schedule a half day or full day presentation for your physical education teachers. Presenters are available year-round. There is no designated fee for these offerings, but if you have staff development funding, an honorarium for the presenter(s) is greatly appreciated. OHPEP will pay all travel expenses.
